In all her 17 years of running the shelter, Janet had never had this happen. Cats were brought in by former owners, or people who found them and couldn't keep them. She'd seen all sorts of circumstances, but every cat had been brought in by people. This cat brought herself! Olivia's story began about three years earlier. She was born in the woods, part of a litter of four. Her mother had made a home for them in a hollowed out tree with leaves, moss and other forest debris all making a soft hidden spot, warm and cozy. Every so often her mother would leave briefly in order to hunt. Eventually she began bring back her "finds" for her family. Things went along well, Olivia and her siblings growing and, being curious, beginning to explore a little. Mom was never far away and kept a close eye on them. Then one morning Olivia woke up and everyone was gone!

About the Book
Olivia is a spin off of a character in Tales from the Home Again, known as the "Queen" at the rescue shelter. She is wise, kind, and knows exactly what to do to resolve every situation, solving problems, helping cats get adopted. But where did she come from? What was her life like before she came to the shelter? This book tells the story of this unusual, mysterious cat.
About the Author
Holly Desvignes has enjoyed working with children all her life. She's also loved being around animals, always having some species in her life. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute, she worked in broadcasting, then became a mother of four, owning many animals through the years, most of them rescues, and working with children in schools, churches and camps. Then she got a job at a rescue shelter, and the idea for the Home Again series was born. Perfect!
