About the Book

Burnie was born and raised in Lil' zartz. She and Amos fell in love and were married when they were just kids. Baron Von showed up in town with his young children just as Burnie and Amos brought Mas into the world. Nothing, at first, seemed out of the ordinary movements of time and change, but soon there was the evidence of Dark Zarts in what were Lite parts of Lil' zartz. As Burnie ventured up Tekoa Mountain on a beautiful fall morning, she was surprised by a vision, and her Gold Zart gave warning, "What kind of gold are people now seeking? Has willing the Good truly lost all its meaning?" So as the Vons conspire ao attain control of Lil' zartz soul, will Burnie succeed in saving the town by her own efforts, or will she submit to the circumstances and unseen forces that mysteriously reveal themselves to her?
