Flight of The Red Dog

“Flight of The Red Dog” is a fictionalized story written from the prospective of a career civil, military, and world traveled pilot that is based on facts existing in the pre-WWII, catalytic war, year of 1939. The times were poignant as both Germany and Japan were contemplating world conquering actions with near unstoppable avarice. Allied powers were suspicious, but needed considerable evidence of such action, since the US was in a “safe” isolationist mode. Joint efforts of US and British intelligence agencies agreed to use two professional pilots under the guise of world geodetic and mapping surveys. Their commissioned espionage efforts, assisted by a highly modified Lockheed 10E aircraft, require destinations in Europe, Norway, the North Atlantic, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, north Africa, and Italy with a return to the US. Each predetermined stop requires supreme diligence in determining what the Axis powers are doing there, and in the determined efforts lies jeopardy and the possible penalty of death.
