About the Book
“911. What is your emergency?” “Hello? Are you there? This is the Coral Gables Police Department. What is your emergency, please?” “Th-this is M-MacKenzie Ables at 224 Alcala Ave. in Coral Gables. M-my son has been kidnapped, help me, please.” “Am I understanding you correctly, someone kidnapped your son?” “His father took him away from me, along with all his clothes and stuff. I don’t know where they are.” “Miss, try to stop crying, I can’t understand you. Are you with someone?” “No, I’m by myself.” “Are you hurt?” “No.” “Okay, Ms Ables. My name is Penny and help is on the way. I will remain on the line with you. Take a deep breath and tell me everything you know.” I awoke from my usual nightmare, trembling with fear and drenched in cold sweat. While I was frantically scanning my bedroom, my breathing became erratic. After a moment of panic, I realized it was only that nightmare happening again! Why does that horrific day keep haunting me in my dreams? It has been over twenty years since the day I came home from a two-day trip to Disney World to discover Carlos (my boyfriend) and our six-month-old son, Johnny, gone! Today is my wedding day—I’m happy! But my nightmare continues to haunt me!!
