[pg. 12] The young girl awoke to sunlight streaming bright, God’s warm love shining in, a new day’s delight. “Help me to commit to your way Lord, and to trust in You and your ways.” [pg. 13] She brushed her teeth and combed her hair and rushed out the door with no time to spare. Swinging the basket to-and-fro, she skipped and fluttered on the go. She soon arrived at Cricket’s burrow smiling at her through the window. [pg.14] The two now departed warm and pure hearted to make their way out to the garden. [pg. 15] They stopped just outside and their mouths opened wide, for God had brought a surprise.

About the Author
Brittany Lavoie got her B.S. degree in Media Arts/Animation, but has always had the desire to use her creative talents that God blessed her with towards something that would make a difference in someone's life. She has always enjoyed creating stories and poems while growing up, and had confirmation that writing children's books was what she wanted to do once she became a mom herself. She is the mother to a beautiful miracle daughter, and lives with her husband and 3 crazy cats. She has always had a heart to serve God through reaching children whether it be through children's ministry or now writing children's books that have safe and fun content for young little minds and hearts. She writes her books with the intent that it will not only be a fun experience for the kids, but that it will also instill good lessons inspired by scripture. Children are our future and should be protected at all costs. "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward." ~ Psalm 127:3
