About the Book

KATIE is sitting at the beach, enjoying the ocean when a tiny turtle crawls up to her and sits next to her on her blanket. She realizes the baby turtle is alone and seems lost. Where is this baby turtle's family? This sweet and light-hearted poem touches the heart of a young girl wanting to help a little turtle fi nd its way back home.

About the Author

CATHY is a widow, retired, mother of 2 and grandmother of 8. She grew up on a farm in Michigan with her parents and 5 brothers and sisters. She married and moved to Virginia and has lived there for 56 years. She is a lifetime writer of poems in various genres with the most recent focused on writing poems for young children. This is her fi rst published book of poetry and a fi rst in a series of "Read to Me" books.
