About the Book
Ever since I was 15 years old I wanted to join the Navy. After graduating high school I joined. For me it was a lifechanging experience. At 85 I still remember many of the good times and the bad. As a result I decided to write this book before those memories faded
About the Author
This is Mr. Holmstrom’s second book and probably his last. He was born in 1940 and wrote his fi rst book about growing up in the Fourth Ward (Bayfront area) in Erie, PA. He wrote that book and this one about his experiences in the Navy. He felt a need to pass this family history on to his children, grand children, and great grandchildren.
