Do pets go to heaven? You betcha!
“Welcome to Pet Heaven,” Cissy Duck softly spoke as she hugged the shy, little owl, Buttons. “All animals are welcome here. Who did you belong to?” Cissy asked.
“Well, I did not belong to anyone,” the owl sadly frowned. “I lived in a tree, but there was a little boy who used to leave food out for my family. His grandmother would walk with him to the edge of the forest every day to leave food for us. I think she called him Alistair,” the small, brown owl said. “By the way, where am I anyhow?”
“You are in Pet Heaven! This is where pets go when they die. Someday soon, we will all be reunited with our families,” Cissy explained. “In the meantime, we wait here and welcome the new arrivals and listen to their stories.”
“For real?” chirped little brown Buttons.
“By the way, let me properly introduce myself.” “I am Cissy Duck.” “I am the gatekeeper of Pet Heaven.”
“So, what happened to get you here?” asked Cissy Duck.
Cissy explained that when Jesus returns and sets up His kingdom, there will be no more death, and all animals will live peacefully together and not harm each other.
As Cissy tucked the little owl, Buttons, into bed, he kissed her and said, “I love you, Cissy Duck.”

Author of Have You Ever Loved a Duck?, Book One in the Cissy Duck Book Series, Joanne Bobb has purposed Book Two to help children through the grieving process of losing a pet. Joanne continues her passion educating children about the importance of showing kindness to animals. Joanne has spent her career as an Architect and Corporate Flight Attendant and currently trains flight crews for an aerospace company in Savannah, GA USA.
