There was once a special little bumble bee who was different from most of his friends. He was yellow with black stripes, not yellow stripes on black. It didn't matter, for he knew the Creator, the Creator of us all, had made him as special as all that He loved, be they great or be they small.

About the Author
A musician, a composer, a teacher, a poet: All of these can describe Vickie L. Detert. But, her favorite description is that of being a child of the Living God. He is her inspiration and her reason for the need she has to share her gifts and talents with the world. As a church musician, she has been able to help congregations lift their voices in song. As a teacher, she tried to lead students to discover the joy of sharing their musical talents as well. Her purpose in life is to follow wherever the Lord leads and in so doing, she leans on and trusts in the Holy Spirit to guide and use her. Her hope is that others may find S P Ellingbee and The Wise Old Owl to be inspiring as they too find their way in their journeys of life.
