About the Author
By His Wife Rev. Ingrid Herod Van Sertima Egbert Lucius Van Sertima was born on May 26, 1949 and made his transition on April 9, 2020. Known to all as Brother Van. Born of humble beginnings, he was one of seven children and raised in the Catholic Faith. He had many life changing experiences throughout his journey. Of those experiences he would always explain: “there are no bad experiences, for this is the reason we are here, to experience, it is all good.” A humble soul. His joy for sharing knowledge led him to various faith institutions. Loved for his openness to truth, he was frank and never afraid to call out insincerity. As a member of the body of Christ, he lived, to the best of his ability, as he taught and according to his belief – simple, humble. By example he demonstrated truth, that we should live according to what we believe. The chapters of this book, as laid out by him, are meant to be read with an open mind by those who seek to explore more of what life has to offer and live a life filled with meaningful experiences.
