Abner decided that he was going to be the best turkey Farmer Jones ever raised. He ate all the mash he was given and even snuck some of the mash given to Amos. Since he was slightly bigger than Amos he was able to push him aside. Yet both turkeys grew big and strong. When their adult feathers started to come in Abner’s were much brighter in color and his plumage was much fuller. He was indeed a beautiful bird.

About the Author
I am an eighty one year old grandmother and great grandmother. These stories are tales told to my children, grandchildren, children in my Children’s Ministry, and now my great grandchildren. The stories have been enjoyed by all ages from toddlers to teens.
