There is an event in my life that occurred when I was in the 3rd grade. My wife enjoys this story far more than I. My brother Clancy a 7th grader at the time, and I each received a sample tube of Crest Toothpaste in the mail. Neither of us had any idea what to do with it because we had never owned a tooth brush. However, being two very resourceful young boys we read the directions about putting it on your teeth. That sounded easy. We put some in our mouths and thought it tasted pretty good so we ate the entire two tubes standing beside the mailbox. Fortunately for us they were small tubes and there were no side effects to eating a sample tube of Crest. However, just for the record. Crest is still my choice of tooth paste.

About the Book
This is the story of a child and his brothers who were abandoned when he was three and left with their grandparents (migrant workers). They were constantly moving to follow whatever crop happen to be in season at the time, living in one room shanties that were called home. His life inside and outside of taverns and bars were all too familiar. This is the story of his struggles to find peace and to obtain acceptance in a world where it seemed that no one cared. Always looking to find the reason for the one question; Why Me?
About the Author
Bud Salsbury lives in the mountains of Idaho with his wife Carol, they have six grown children and 15 grandchildren. Bud enjoys the many outdoor adventures that Idaho has to offer, and he continues to be involved with kids by volunteering with local youth programs. The Migrants’ Child is Bud’s first book. He found that at times it was very difficult to recall and write about some of his childhood memories of life in the migrant camps.
