My doubt started to produce a real fear unlike anything I had felt since I had first arrived in New York City to search for my daughter. The fear started to grip me, but I took control. I almost literally shouted, "You promised me God. I'm going to hold you to your promise. I expect to see her soon." (2Timothy 1:7). As the fear subsided I became confident again that we would find her. I didn't know when, and by this point, I didn't even really know where. I just felt God's peace come over me. I knew He had the whole situation under control. As I kept looking over the crowds, watching to see from which direction she would come, I felt the peace. I knew I would see my daughter today.
