Road Tripping From Sydney to Melbourne

Our next stop is a quick one. We just have to stop at Squeaky Beach to hear the sand squeak under our feet. The water is turquoise, and the beach has a fine quartz sand that makes a squeaky sound. We then stop for breakfast and drive on to Phillip Island, where we check in to our hotel and then take a two-hour catamaran seal-watching cruise. It is beautiful. The sky is a deep blue , and the and the water is practically transparent. As we sail, our guide shows us different historic landmarks along the way while we enjoy our complimentary snacks and tea. We get to Seal Rock and are thrilled to see the fur seals that come swimming up to the boat! There are so many of them. They are all either basking in the warm sunlight or swimming in the water around us. And just as exciting are the dolphins that we are lucky enough to see on the return trip to our hotel.
