So, when I can't take the sunbeams, I hide in the dark. When I can’t take the sock seams, I run barefoot in the park. When I can’t use a wooden pencil, I use a pen instead. This way I can’t feel the pencil scratch the paper with the lead.

About the Book
After my son was diagnosed with a Sensory Processing Disorder it put a lot of past and current events into perspective. Suddenly, it became very overwhelming for my son. He had to find new and creative ways to cope with things that didn’t bother other children. One of the ways we learned to cope together and find new ideas was to have small interview sessions which I compiled in to a short book in hopes that another child could find this information useful and encouraging.
About the Author
In Fourth grade, my son was diagnosed at a later age with multiple learning disabilities. The one diagnosis we could not find a lot of information on was Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD). There were plenty of medical articles but we couldn’t find a book that spoke to the level of a child or newly diagnosed children. I am a first time Author using the events of my sons life after diagnosis to put the scenarios in a way that a child or even a parent learning about this for the first time could relate to.
