About the Book

This book is a true account of one man’s startling visit to heaven on March 6, 2018. It is an astonishing record of what the kingdom of heaven on the freshly renewed and restored earth is really like, and it’s different from anything you’ve ever imagined! Heaven is not a boring, eternal church service in a fairy tale location somewhere above the clouds. It is a real, tangible place God has prepared for YOU—a kingdom of joy, worthwhile meaningful, and purposeful activities, peace, lasting relationships, contentment, and hope. This book was written to give YOU hope—genuine hope. And for multitudes of people who have somehow lost hope and those who feel no hope whatsoever. People need hope, not merely to survive in life, but to thrive beyond simply existing day by day. The writer prays that people reading this account of his visit to heaven will find a rock-solid sense of purpose, meaning, and hope to which they can anchor their lives.

About the Author

Some who read this book might ask, “Who is Bill Boylan?” Please understand very clearly that I’m just an ordinary man, a very nondescript, normal person. My wife and I have had a loving marriage for almost 40 years. I have 3 biological children and one step-daughter; 3 grand-children, and five great-grandchildren. There is nothing special or outstanding about me. I don’t stand out in a crowd. I’m very “generic.” I’m not tall and handsome, I’m not very smart, and I’m not very wise at times. I live in a modest home on a quiet residential street in the relatively small community of Rapid City, South Dakota, near the beautiful Black Hills. The world-famous Mount Rushmore is about 25 miles from our home. I pay my household expenses every month, help clean our house, wash most of our dishes, assist with our laundry, make the bed many mornings, drive a 20-year old pickup, and wear jeans and a sweatshirt or T-shirt most of the time. I get sick and grouchy from time to time. I love to watch silly sitcoms on television. My hobbies are reading and occasionally hiking in the nearby Black Hills; I’m a regular mall-walker, but sometimes also walk on a nearby outdoor walking path with my wife and dogs, Piper and Zack. My roots go down deep in this locale. My brother and his wife live nearby on the cattle ranch originally homesteaded by my great-grandparents in the 1870’s. Most of my working years were spent as a public school teacher, a medical administrator, and as a tough Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, the active Air Force Reserve, and the Air National Guard; and as a Sergeant First Class in the fulltime Army National Guard. I’m so very ordinary that it was an extremely difficult task for me to find appropriate words to describe to you my visit to heaven—to describe the indescribable.
