Christian Poetry from a Heart like David

The best way to get a glimpse into this Christian Poetry book is samples of the first and last poems. The first poem is one of the author's favorite titled,My Love for You... "When I was on the cross you were on my mind. Only you. I have the power to do that you know? I have the mind of Christ. My love poured out for you as my life dwindled, but I knew it was to see you again and live with you forever... This poem is how the author feels Jesus may have felt as He endured the pain of the cross. The joy set before Him that allowed Him to endure was all that would choose Him. This was about a third of the first poem. The last poem of the book is the author's favorite saved for last. Here is a piece from the middle of the three paged poem which he has told many times and even gave away the original at a store cause the Holy Spirit told him to. The title is "Hanging with my King." The excerpt comes from the middle... Then the postmaster general of heaven comes rushing in and interrupts the flow with an urgent message of one of Abba's children from below. Gabriel says as he struggles to catch his breathe,"Daddy one of your children have sinned down there on earth. " The Lord Daddy perks up, still gently rubbing my hair with His left hand to keep me calm and free, Abba say," Oh I see,"as He looks to His child below, "then judgement is demanded,"He proclaims! So He raises His mighty right hand that will judge the whole earth one day, as a hammer and He goes to slam it as a gavel. Then Emmanuel, Jesus His son leans to His left and whispers in His Father's right ear...
