Bixby and Friends

Billy Bear- “Billy got up and started to lift his pole out of the water. “Oh no!” It was stuck. He could see where it was stuck. He just couldn’t get it out. “What’s wrong?” asked Flip the Frog, as he leaped over near where Billy sat. “I’m having trouble getting my line free”, said Billy. “I think it’s stuck between a few of those big stones.”

Bixby- “Clara held Bixby up and looked him over and said, “Tillie, look at this brown bear. He is really plain, don’t you think?” Tillie said, “Just put some of that bright ribbon around his neck and he will be okay. Set him on the end of one of those high shelves. He’ll be fine.” Bixby never thought he was plain but it was a beautiful bow. He would be happy to wear it. It was time to open the store. Parents and children came through the doors. Everyone was enjoying the new toys. Bixby watched as the toys left his shelf one by one. He and the little clown doll were the only toys left on his shelf. Gee! He really wanted to go home with someone.”

Special Gift- “Chelsea and Melissa lived a few houses down from each other on Morning Glory Avenue. One afternoon, while they were playing, a moving truck drove down the street and stopped at a house close by. A car with a woman and a little girl followed the truck. The woman gave the mover a key. He opened the truck and started taking out furniture. Melissa and Chelsea were interested in the little girl. She was about their age. “Mom, can we go over and meet them?” Chelsea asked. “Wait until they get settled. Maybe we can go over tomorrow and meet the family.” Said her mom.”
