The greatest gift ever given;
God’s message that I’m forgiven.
His love is far greater than any other;
Greater than lover, father or mother.
God’s love sent Jesus to this earth,
To give fallen man new birth.
This very special gift is not mine alone,
It’s for all who bow before His throne.
God sent His Son His love to prove;
For sinful man, his burdens to remove.
Greatest love – how can it be
For God to love a sinner such as me.

In a world of hatred, cruelty, selfishness, and disregard for the dignity and rights of others, what better quality could we desire than love? Love is thought of in our society in many varied ways. There is sensual love, superficial love, conditional love, and love that seeks its own self-satisfaction. Then there is God’s type of love—love that is pure, holy, and devoted to the needs of others. That is what Ultimate Love is all about. There is no love greater than the love that the Lord planned for His people when He created a world of such beauty and grandeur.

Pat earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. In all areas of life since coming to know the Lord, love has been her motivating force. Pat was married to David Swithers in 1953. Through the fifty-four years of marriage, Pat and David served the Lord faithfully in many ways in both churches and secular positions.
