Faith without Doubt, Patience, and Trust

Me: Says her Mother & the little H boy came to see her. Peggi: Who were the little H boys do you know? Me: S/Hs? Peggi: I knew one was dead I didn't know both... It so happened in our younger days living in Iowa that we had neighbor boys who would come over to visit. These were boys in their teens, who probably by most sense of the word, started to come so they could talk to our teenage brother and sisters, but in the end it ended up being our Mother, who's companionship they grew to enjoy. Not because she was doing anything beyond being a Mom with them, but because Mother had an uncommon wisdom about her. Just being in her presence was enough ensure you that she knew who you were and loved you despite who you were. Of such was their relationship with us, with her. I remember H sitting on top of the deep freeze just visiting about anything he could find of interest and sometimes they would sit on the top of the steps on the hilltop leading up to our house. On this particular day, I do not think things were particularly going well in his house with his own home life. Sometimes, his younger brother would join him in coming over to talk. Some while later, after we had moved to Florida, it had been related to us that one of these boys had killed himself while still in his teens. Now mind you, you must remember, Mother was not present when this young man had taken his own life.... However....
