About the Book

A seedling is transplanted so it can thrive and grow. The players in the book are transplanted from east to west and south to north. The book is about a Polish immigrant boy and descendants and a southern African-American family. The families interact and thus, they succeed and help America remain great.


About the Author

Eileen Dierkes grew up in Michigan City, Indiana. She was a clerk-typist in Civil Service during the World War II. Eileen has been an active community volunteer as President of her County Parent Teachers Association, Secretary for the local Hospital Auxiliary, and a member of her regional (multi-county) library board. She was employed for fifteen years as Deputy County Trustee. She married her high school sweetheart, Harry Dierkes, in a Columbus Air Base chapel in Mississippi. Together, in retirement, they enjoyed traveling throughout the “lower 48” states, staying in many State Parks, and visiting most National Parks in the country. They have been enjoying camping in most of the 48 states and National Parks in the country for about 25 years. Eileen resides currently in Arizona.
