My life story will uplift You.........

I had to live without any kind of timepiece and still be on time for work through Spring of 1950 . Since I did not have a watch or alarm clock, I never learned to rest properly. I learned to listen to the street or yard noise as morning approached. When I would hear the sound of cows being milked, I knew it was time for me to get up and get ready for work. Clean up was only with cold water even in winter - there was no hot water except on Saturday night when I helped sometimes to maintain the fire under the water tank. I lived without a radio and did not have a heated room in Germany when winter arrived. Actually, I had no exclusive use of any furnished room in East Germany. My right of possession and use was confined to a bed with table and chair. In one case, there was just a bed, table, chair and one light bulb. I would be twenty-nine years old in 1962 before I could afford a complete and self contained furnished apartment in Cody, Wyoming.
