About the Author

Adrienne Sealy is a writer and psychologist in the City of New York. She is a poet, author and public speaker. She has received close to 300 awards and citations for literary and humanitarian achievements. She has appeared as narrator, critic, mistress of ceremonies and storyteller. Her first book ‘And Even A Child Shall Lead Them’ was written between the tender ages of 11 and 13. She is noted for traveling abroad and in the U.S.A. motivating and inspiring young people to succeed despite negative odds. She has made special appearances as guest speaker, narrator and consultant. Adrienne Sealy’s main purpose for writing is to help to spread the Word of God so that He can get the credit for the great things He has done. In Adrienne’s first book she expresses the view that people are like big balloons, they can burst at any time. She believes that man cannot hang one star in the sky or make the sun shine- there is Someone greater than all who controls. She has received her BA, M.S. and PhD. Degrees. Adrienne Sealy has written other books besides her first one, The Decaying See: A Youth Speaks No Hill Is To High; Mama Watch Out I’m Growing Up; The Color Your Way Into Black History Book; Hang On: Poetry for Millions to read; Tommy and The Basketball The Story of the Man Who Played the Game Straight and Won. As a poet, author and public speaker she hosted her own CATV television show. Some of her poems are hanging in the United Nations Building and Adrienne received the Jefferson Award from WNEW TV Channel 5 Broadcasting station and many other places. There is a library named in her honor.
