100 Days to Your Breakthrough

Not Intimidated You belong to God. You are His. That means you are anointed to win in your life. When circumstances are coming against you, remember you’re endowed with the Spirit of God and He is mighty and amazing in you! I know when you're facing difficulties, or you're disappointed because something has not come to pass, it can feel ridiculous to think of yourself as being a mighty anointed person. You look in the mirror and wonder where all that power and wisdom and strength are. That's precisely how the devil wants you to think of yourself—not as one who can defeat the issues you’re facing. He doesn't want you to know it's going to be a cakewalk—a blowout—because those challenges are no match for you. He's going to try to fake you out. This is how one of the most famous coaches in college football faked out an opposing team. Knute Rockne of Notre Dame was preparing to play the USC Trojans, and he knew this opponent was a far better team than his Fighting Irish were. So he devised a plan to intimidate the opposing players. This was back before the days of eligibility rules, so the coach went all over the town until he handpicked one hundred of the largest men he could find. Each one was at least six foot five and weighed three hundred pounds. Then he put those big men in Fighting Irish football uniforms and marched them onto the field ahead of the real team. As USC players watched those giants line up on the sidelines, they forgot they were the ones, not Notre Dame, who had an undefeated record. They easily could have another win and stay undefeated, but they began mentally preparing themselves for a beating. Even though none of those large men played during the game, it was their presence on the sidelines that destroyed the concentration of the other team. The trick worked. The Trojan players were intimidated enough that they gave up before the game even started. Don't mentally prepare for a beating when you are the one who stands in the power and might of God. Don’t let the bigness of anything intimidate you. God has given you… The courage of David. The wisdom of Solomon. The strength of Samson. The favor of Ruth. You have the faithfulness of Abraham. The discernment of Deborah the judge. The excellence of Daniel. The perseverance of the Apostle Paul. The willingness of Peter. Within your spirit is the bravery of Esther. The vision of Isaiah. The compassion of the good Samaritan. The endurance of Job. The leadership of Moses. The determination of Joshua and The power of Jesus Christ! The enemy cannot win against you. You’re undefeatable through the Spirit of God within you. He cannot intimidate you enough to make you stop…when you recognize what is within you. You can have your breakthrough. A Spiritual Powerline to say out loud: “I AM NOT INTIMIDATED!” A powerful prayer to pray: Oh Father, help me remember whose I am and what You have placed within me. I’m not intimidated by needs or disappointment or difficulties. No matter how big they seem, I serve a bigger God. And You have placed power and might within me.
