Pure love beckons intimacy. Intimacy is fully animated love. In the absence of intimacy, we are driven to fill the void within ourselves through things which are artificial and/or superficial. A lack of intimacy causes us to reach for imitations of it in different ways, such as being around another person without being present with them; speaking to, but not communicating with them; getting larger but not growing; getting older but not maturing; confusing the lust of sex, with love. An erroneous search for intimacy distinguishes for us once again, the difference between eating and being nourished.
