The Girl in the Rain

Suddenly Nat, did not know what to do, the undercurrent between them became alive. It was like match to gas, igniting a flame that would consume them with ungodly heat! He felt as if he did not hold Chelsea he would burn to death! He looked into her eyes and saw doubt and fear. He could not help himself; he drew her to him and held her tight. He knew he was hurting her but he could not help it. Then with male authority he claimed her lips, he kissed her with all the fire that was coiled in his body, from the first day he set eyes on her! Chelsea did not respond, she stood transfixed frightened and confused! She felt dizzy from the fire that was burning her and slowly she opened her lips. He drove his tongue deep in the recess of her hot innocent mouth! She was so soft, so hot, so innocent and so, oh my God! He was drowning and only Chelsea’s response to his kiss could save him. Without wanting to Chelsea returned Nat’s kiss. She was not sure of what to do but an instinct greater and stronger than her urged her on. She kissed Nat with the feminine power that God gave eve in the Garden of Eden! Her brain screamed no! No! but her flesh roared yes! Yes! This is ok. Nat kissed her throat her eyes, and then rolled back to her lips! The rain came with steady cold droplets and wet their hot bodies. Nat cursed slowly under his breath. He grabbed Chelsea’s hand and ran to the nearest shelter offered by a shop. They were breathing fast and for a few minutes, none of them spoke. Chelsea was trying to figure out what just happened! Why did she feel so weak and trembling? It certainly was not the rain drops. ‘Do you regret what just happened between us? asked Nat gently. Nat wanted to wrapped his arms around her and tell her everything would be ok. Chelsea stepped away her mind was in a whirl. This was her very first kiss even though it sent her spinning she did not want it to be by a man who was already taken. Nat had broken the ‘friend trust’ and now she really felt lost! Everything had changed her lips felt bruised and tender from the onslaught of his kiss! ‘Talk to me pleaded Nat, talk to me please, I cannot stand the silence, shout scream cry anything but not this silence! Tell me what you are feeling. ‘What do you want me to say’? asked Chelsea angrily. ‘I do not know what I am feeling, but I do know one thing. You have betrayed my trust. I thought you were so different from the others.’ What did I do Chelsea; did I cross your precious borderline? Did I spill impurity on your precious lily white carpet?! Nat asked scornfully. ‘What Chelsea am I too unclean to touch you?! ‘I am sorry I did not mean it like that, it is just that I wanted my first kiss to be special. I wanted it to be with the man who would marry me’. She said brokenly. The sudden pain in her heart was too sharp to ignore. Without wanting to Chelsea started crying! Nat could not help it he took Chelsea in his arms, held her close, and slowly rocked her while she cried. ‘Nat, whispered to her, he told her he was sorry to have disappointed her, and that he can’t promised her it won’t happen again. As long as they kept on seeing each other there is a possibility that it may happened again. He said he would not apologize for kissing her because that is something he wanted to do from the very first time he saw her. Chelsea needed Nat’s strength and so she allowed him to hold her a little longer. She wondered how he could be so calm when she was trembling as a leaf caught in the wind! She vowed silently that this would never happen again! She was saving herself for marriage. She was not about to settled for something God did not approve of. However, you kissed him a voice deep inside jeered. Chelsea pulled out of Nat’s embrace and stepped away from him. ‘What is going to happened now’? she asked slowly. ‘I don’t know, Chelsea that is up to you, whatever you want I will try my best to honor, but I would hope you would want us to be friends, responded Nat somberly. ‘How can you be so nonchalant, Nat, asked Chelsea my world is falling apart. We just kissed for crying out loud! I am shaking I do not know if I should stay or run. While you just stand there as if nothing happened! Anyway, do not bother, for you this is an everyday occurrence, but for me it is the first time! This is all so new for me I have never been kissed by anyone before! ‘Chelsea, don’t think for one moment I do not care about what is happening to you. I care deeply, I hate to see you cry, I hate to know that I am the one who is causing you these tears. I am truly sorry’! Nat could not help but feel a surge of pride that he was the first man to have kissed her and he wanted to be the first and the last man to do so. However according to his present situation he knew that, that was impossible. He was conscious of his attachment, but could not bear the thought of another man touching her much more kissing her. He was also deeply aware of the struggles she is experiencing with her faith. How she is struggling to remain pure in her christian walk. He desperately wanted her to stay that way, but ever so often, he also wants to forget everything and just be with her no matter the cost.
