About the Author

Becoming a “hands-on” grandmother coupled with natural artistic abilities to draw and paint was the push Ida Slagle needed to write and illustrate her first childrens book. After retiring from her floral and bridal shop Ida opened an art studio “Idalou’s Art” at home. She pursues her love of painting and illustrating by attending classes at Munson Williams Procter Art Institute. Ida spends most of her time in her art studio...that is when she is not playing with her grandchildren. Ida resides with her husband and pup in central New York where she enjoys her studio and her gardens.. “The Alphabet Sing-Song Story” is an adorable rhyming sing-song story that teaches the alphabet with brightly colored illustrations of animal characters.
