You heard behind you in the street?
Something moving toward you
On many, many feet –
You still hear it coming,
Those feet coming at a jog!
Do you see the big monster?
No, it’s a family
Walking their dog!!
Maybe nothing in the dark
Is really what is seems.
Maybe things are scarier
Just because it’s Halloween!
Anyway, you are happy
You are at your own front door.
Now all the awful, scary things
Don’t frighten you anymore.
