About the Book
Ramonet, the Trilingual Dog is the story of Ramonet, a multicultural tiny dog whose unrelenting passion for adventures and burgers leads him on a journey of in-depth discovery where he discovers what he values most in life. Through his adventure, he learns to value his parents’ advice; he learns how much he truly values his adopted human family and parents; he learns what it is like to understand someone with a mental illness through his friendship with another small dog, and he learns what it is like to have a true friend. In addition, Ramonet’s multicultural background provides an appreciation for multiculturalism.
About the Author
Fina Hernández was raised in Houston, TX and resides in San Antonio, TX. She has worked in the field of politics throughout her adult life, serving on political campaigns on the local, state and national levels. In the past ten years, she has worked in the field of education and has a passion to help people fulfill their educational and career goals. In addition, she finds it specifically rewarding to spread awareness for the mentally ill and their struggles. By spreading awareness through education at an early age, Ms. Hernández hopes to help cultivate a culture of awareness and understanding for those afflicted with mental illness. Seeing the struggles that a close loved one with mental illness has experienced has made Ms. Hernández dedicate her creative works to this cause.
