Simple Solutions originated as a humble attempt to add serenity to my life. I needed this book because I tend to learn things after I’ve bungled them the first time around. I’m also a visual person who frequently takes notes and keeps lists. Using my own experiences as well as the advice of others, I drafted and maintained a collection of simple solutions to complex yet achievable challenges. Later I graduated to a journal, and the idea for this book was born. It's the culmination of years of trial and error (not to mention a zillion rewrites). Some of the ideas I've presented may not necessarily apply to your own life or current circumstances. I wrote this for entertainment as well as instruction. For this reason, you won’t find methods for tackling serious adversities here. Simple Solutions focuses on relatable day-to-day stresses and how to make them manageable while discovering ways to enjoy the process. Even when we try to simplify our lives, it helps to remember what is important. Buy in bulk and when you’re finished shopping, return the grocery cart to its rightful place. Recognize your needs while being considerate of others. If you live like this, you'll be able to write your own Simple Solutions. SPECIAL BONUS: This book includes a section of chapters written by family members who offer excellent tips of their own. They taught me a lot of what I know, and my deepest thanks go to them. I also appreciate the wise counsel of many folks who didn't write chapters for this book but whose advice I have followed over the years.

About the Author
Teresa M. Mosteller is a published writer, playwright and freelance poet. Her first book, “There Used to Be a Fish Called Salmon,” is a collection of her original poems and short stories. She has written or co-written several published plays including “The Opulent and Tragic Baby Doe Tabor,” “Sing Me a Story,” “A Musical Excursion” and “Mr. Lucky’s.” Ms. Mosteller is also a Human Resources professional for a social services agency. She and her immediate family live and work in the Seattle area.
