About the Author

Dr. Georgella Wright is a lifetime early childhood educator, minister, and military wife. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Her parents are George E. Denson and Johnnie E. Swanson. Dr. Wright has been married for over twenty-seven years to retired US Marine Master Sergeant, Anthony Wright, and is the mother of two wonderful children, Anthony and Anisia, and daughter-in-law, Michelle, and grandmother of one grandchild, A’Myah-Nicole. Dr. Wright received her education from the University of Akron, the Potter’s House Seminary and Bible College, and the North Carolina College of Theology. She holds a degree in early childhood education as well as Doctor of Theology and Doctor of Christian Counseling degrees. Dr. Wright has owned and operated Loving Kindness Childcare Center, which serves military families. Dr. Wright is the author of My Daddy, the United States Marine. My Daddy, the United States Marine was written out of the inspiration of her family. The book denotes the complexities of being the children of an active marine and the challenges her family faced after her husband was engaged in five combat deployments. Dr. Wright gives honor to the fathers and mothers who serve our country. She lives close to one of the largest military bases in the world and interacts with service members on a daily basis. Her heart goes out to military children all over the world.
