Preface
During the three years I was affiliated with the Baptist Church, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to minister in several of their churches. Many false doctrines and cults were active during this time – false doctrines and cults that are still in existence today. However, because the Baptist denomination is a relatively conservative denomination, I was not personally exposed to any of them.
Later, after receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in the largest Pentecostal denomination, I became affiliated with them and pastored at two of their churches. Soon I was being bombarded with questions about several different “false doctrines”. In my first year, I was challenged by no less than nineteen false prophets and/or their teachings.
Unfortunately, they were not the last. Since then, others have also come forward. Some of the questions posed were almost comical in content, some were dangerous to one’s salvation, and some were merely annoying with the persistency of their followers. Some of the people I could escape, while others, because they worked with me at the post office, I couldn’t avoid. I also couldn’t avoid the members of our church to whom I delivered mail.
In addition to my ministry at the church and my work at the post office, I also had a radio ministry. Frequently, while on the air, I would receive calls from some of these false prophets and their followers wanting to debate Scripture and expose me to their false doctrines. Knowing that it would only lead to disagreement and quarreling, I refused to argue with them in these situations. Instead, I let the words of the Apostle Paul become my guide.
Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”
It is hoped that this book will enlighten those who read it by exposing the false prophets. In doing so, it is my fervent prayer that it will save some from torment and lead them to Christ so they will not lose the inheritance God has in store for them. This book is also written to encourage those who are currently in a cult or following a false prophet to run – not walk – run to the nearest exit.
As I write about several of the false doctrines and point out the carnality of different doctrines, I will not mention any specific person or denomination by name. It is not my wish to destroy anyone’s faith – a faith founded in the shed blood of our Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ! However, it is my wish to awaken Christians to the truth and necessity of attaining peace with other Christians – all Christians – no matter what their denomination and to bring those churches, when needed, to the realization that repentance is necessary. Changes are necessary! I pray that all people – all churches – will follow the words of Paul and heed the words Jesus spoke in the Book of Matthew.
Hebrews 12:14-15, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness spring up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;”
Matthew 12:25, “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:”
Throughout the world Satan has Protestants and Catholics fighting with each other. An example of this can be seen in Ireland where the killing of Protestants by Catholics and Catholics by Protestants is accepted, condoned, and even encouraged as an act of doing God’s will. Some of you may, at this point, be saying, “Yeah, but that’s not here – not in the States!” Wrong! We, too, are trying to destroy each other’s faith. When those who follow the Oneness Doctrine and those who follow the Trinity Doctrine use fighting words to convince others that they are right and their doctrine is the only way, they are both wrong! What happens when the democrats and republicans fight to gain control of our government? The answer is simple: hard feelings, divisiveness, and nothing accomplished! What happens in a home where the parents are fighting and can’t agree? Chances are, their children will also be fighting – with them – and with one another! Satan has a field day with such occurrences!
When we attain peace with other Christians and bring others, including some churches, to the realization of their need to repent and change – Satan loses! To be united – united in Christ – is to prevail!
People leave off peace and preach holiness, which includes long dresses, long hair, the carnal outward appearance, and continue to fight each other instead of being at peace with each other.
