About the Book

Thomas is a proud, handsome young hawk. He comes from a good nest and has good parents who taught him how to be a fine, upstanding member of his animal community. Happiness is the only thing that Thomas lacks. It is not until Thomas finds the courage to open himself to the unknown that he truly learns how to love and be loved. This book is a feel-good tribute that teaches life lessons and values. An inspiring children’s story, it can also be enjoyed by people of all ages.

About the Author

Michael D. Robison was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1974. As an only child, he developed a love for all creatures, and they, in return developed a love for him. Despite his many health problems, he spent his childhood rescuing animals in trouble. While recovering from a three-month stay in Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, he met a young boy, Thomas Hall, suffering from inoperable brain cancer. This story is a true story of the red-tailed hawk family that lives in the author’s backyard. This is also written in tribute to Thomas Hall, who fought until the end, never giving up hope. His fight strengthened Michael’s will to stand and face his tomorrows with grace and hope. Michael has numerous stories yet to write. After recovering from surgery for a brain aneurysm at age fourteen and several major strokes, he has found his purpose, to record the wonder of the Animal Kingdom for children around the world. He hopes that you enjoy this story.
