Corbin kept staring at Reyna the whole time they were talking. He reminisced about the time his dad, mom, and he stayed at the hotel where Reyna’s mom worked and when Reyna was helping out during the summer. He remembered them swimming in the pool, sharing a table at pool side while talking and drinking soft drinks. He became almost tearful as he talked about the times the two of them strolled around the hotel grounds and spent time after dinner in the restaurant just looking at the skyline. Reyna watched Corbin closely, visualizing those times. While the time the two spent together was just a few days, the bond between them seemed to be strong.

Tanya Colbert was pregnant at fifteen. After the baby was born, Tanya named her Reyna. Tanya had several different men in her life and had various jobs, but other challenges faced her. Tanya decided to change her lifestyle and become someone. After some disappointing jobs, she became a receptionist at a local hotel. There she and Reyna encountered Oliver Paducah, his wife, and his son, the son being the same age as Reyna.
Corbin Oliver Paducah inherited Paducah Software Development LLC from his father. Oliver’s wife and Corbin’s mother, Regina, was from a prominent family in Atlanta. Regina was something of a snob. Years later, Corbin took over the company, building a multibillion-dollar business. After graduating from Harvard, Corbin married Reyna Colbert, who also graduated from Harvard. Corbin and Reyna had two sons, Patrick and Paxton. Patrick became a surgeon.
Paxton, somewhat a radical, realized his potential after graduating from college and started work in his father’s company. After unexpected events, Reyna Paducah had to hold the businesses together.
About the Author
Paducah is Donald Arlo Jennings’ third book and his second novel. Paducah is a work of fiction, and Jennings used a great deal of imagination to blend the lives of the main characters. The story spans several generations. The love of a gentle intelligent young man from a high society family and a beautiful and intelligent young lady from an unknown background creates the fast moving and sometimes unnerving story of how lives can be tenuous at times. The technology business world coupled with the world of medicine will keep you reading page after page. The ending might surprise you.
