The individual whom our attention begins with is a middle aged man by the name of John. He was a handsome man who stood tall with a conditioned physical stature and a pleasant nature about himself. A man that treated others with respect and kindness which made him well liked in his community. He was raised in a household by loving parents who taught him to fear God, respect his elders, and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. These are some of the attributes which made him a man respected in his community. John didn’t let it be known the various activities he was involved in and how he always appeared to be doing well. He was always willing to help people around him when they fell on hard times or made bad decisions which put them in financial difficulties. John has a teenage son that recently graduated high school whom he loves and desires for him to have more opportunities than he had growing up. He insisted his son do well in school, don’t waste time, and he had to graduate from college. John’s dad was a man who did repairs on homes and businesses such as painting, carpentry, etc. He was a man whom worked diligently until he completed every job he acquired. Over the years he gained a good reputation for his work and was highly recommended. Time keeps moving and John grows in skills and wisdom, as a child and into his adult life he invested a lot of time working with his dad. John taught his son everything he knew about people, business, and the streets. He always told him he would be a man that would influence the world around him. It was mandatory that he never disrespected others and was always to conduct himself as a gentleman. He taught his son the value of trust, never steal, don’t do or get involved with drugs. Learn all he could and be a law abiding citizen.
The name of his son is T. C.
John told his son he would always help with what he needed to attend college, trade school etc. He would always help and support him as long as he did something to further his education. T.C. loved his dad and was determined to do what was expected of him. He worked with his granddad throughout high school. When he graduated high school he immediately went to college. As he studied and did well in the required courses he began to take extra classes such as technical electronics, electrical, computer programming etc. He did all that was asked of him, he admired his dad and was eager to do well in hopes of pleasing him.
Meanwhile, at home John was always finding different business ventures to be a part of. He had a strong desire to prosper, he was always trying to learn, never wanted one thing to require all of his time. There was a couple in the community which owned a small breakfast, lunch & dinner café, they lived in an apartment above the café. Because of some bad decisions and miscalculated finances they were losing the café/home to delinquent taxes. They went to John after they could not find help at any financial institution. John had respect for the couple and had a deep desire to help them if he could. He attended the tax sale and acquired the business for what he considered to be a small amount. He met with the couple and made a proposition to them of becoming their partner. They liked the proposal, they thanked John because not only would they have lost their business. They would have to move with no income. John used his skills acquired from working with his dad using lumber, paint, and necessary material to renovate the place. Because of his meticulous nature and his ability to do the work, he made the café look exceptionally nice. He offered a few business ideas but overall explained to the couple they were responsible for daily operations. They were always to treat every customer special whether they were spending one dollar or twenty dollars, everyone is important.
In their community there was a young lady with two children that worked the streets. She had been a prostitute for most of her adult life. Somehow she had not let the streets destroy her looks. She was still quite attractive to look upon. John made her an offer that if she would serve food in the café he would help her get off the street. If she would trust him and help protect his interest in the café he would make sure she wouldn’t want for anything. He would be like a big brother, who would always consider his and her best interest. As well as getting paid to work he offered her a ten percent interest in the business. The offer seemed too good to be true. She could make money, be off the streets, live a respectable life with a job away from harm and danger. She was told to take care of herself and maintain the look that had always given her favor in the streets. It would be a business investment for both of them, which would get better as time goes by.
She was asked to make herself seem available but never commit unless a man with honorable intentions wanted to marry her. Because John was acting as a brother she would have to introduce the man to John. He knew how men practiced deceiving women. He knew men who dressed nice, drove a nice car, and acted like they had money and good intentions. How women were tricked into believing the man was doing well. She was maturing with time, and the streets were dangerous, she thought it to be a good offer. She had known John most of her life and always had respect for him, she knew him to be a man of his word. She quit working the streets and went to work at the café.
