When Braydon was almost one, he went to Pappy’s house. Pappy lay on the floor next to Braydon and played trucks.
He said “wooowoooooo” to the police car, and “eerrrrrt, crash,” to the sports car, and “beeboobeep, beeboobeep” to the trash truck.
Braydon and Pappy laughed.

About the Book
Braydon visits Pappy’s house. Braydon loves Pappy and Pappy loves Braydon. Grandfather and grandson spend precious time together playing with cars and trucks, swinging on the swings at the playground, eating ice cream, and fishing in the pond.
As Braydon grows older, Pappy’s health deteriorates. His voice is not as loud and booming as it once was. He loses weight, and it is difficult for him to breathe and to walk. But Pappy knows it is important to make memories with Braydon while he still can. Pappy always tells Braydon he loves him when it is time to go home.
Pappy Loves Braydon, a picture book for children, tells the story of a special relationship between a grandfather and his grandson, the importance of being together and creating lasting memories, and most importantly, sharing the feeling of love.
About the Author
Elizabeth Franklin is the mother of four children and has four grandchildren. She has two dogs, one of which appears in this book. She taught high school English for eighteen years, but now, she is pursuing her master’s degree in literature and pursuing a writing career. Elizabeth was a pastor’s wife for over thirty years during which time she taught children, teens, and adult women. She loves to study, research, write, and teach.
