About the Book

Way of Life: Not Religion is a book about freedom. It explains how we might get hung up in bondage without realizing it. Then we won’t enjoy the happiness, contentment, and peace that were meant for us.

Sometimes man uses the rituals and rules of religion instead of searching for the truth. (Satan loves this.) This freedom that I have makes me smile a lot. I’m sure people wonder what I’m up to.

A lot of times we try to earn our way to God, but then we feel guilty and sad because we just can’t be as good as we want to be. We try so hard, and then as we begin reading the Scriptures, the truth will come to us.

About the Author

Kate Emalea was born the fifth child out of eight children to Emil and Kate Leach. She spent most of her childhood on a farm in Orlando, Oklahoma. The family went to a church four miles from where they lived in an old school building called Prairie View. It was in this old building that she felt a tug on her heart, and she asked Jesus to come into her heart. She was around six years old, and by age twelve she read the Bible every day.

Kate was a very happy child, and as she grew older people noticed her optimism and joy. When they asked her why, she would answer, “Because of Jesus.”

Years went by. She married, raised four lively children, and when her youngest child started school, she returned to school and completed her nursing degree. Most of her years as an RN she worked in the emergency room.

Though she still has the ups and downs of life, she remains optimistic and happy. In this book she explains why.
